Dress Code Policy
In keeping with our Catholic values, clothing and
personal belongings are to be neat, clean, presentable, modest and respectful.
The following clothing and personal belongings are not acceptable:

Any clothing that reveals the midriff or underclothing.
·
Shorts, skirts or dresses which are shorter than arms extended at
one’s side.
·
Revealing tops such as halter tops, tank tops, tube tops, mesh
shirts, muscle shirts or shirts with spaghetti straps.
·
If sleeveless tops are worn, the straps are to be at least the
width of one’s fist and should fit snugly around the shoulder and under the
armpit.
·
Overly loose pants (underwear is visible above waistband of
pants).
·
Clothing or personal belongings, which promote racism, profanity,
offensive messages, violence, sex, drugs, tobacco, alcohol or illegal
substances.
·
Tattoos are to be discreet and should not be visible.
Students, parents and staff members are expected to
accept the responsibility for adhering to this dress code. Students who are
dressed inappropriately will be reminded of our dress code, and one or more of
the following actions may be taken:

The student will be asked to refrain from wearing the
inappropriate item(s) of clothing in future.
·
The student will be asked to change clothing or a parent will be
called requesting a change of clothes from home.
·
A meeting with parents may be requested.
A copy of this dress code has been filed with the
Superintendent of Education and the Student Dress Code will be reviewed
annually.
